About Us

The vision for First Baptist Church, Granbury, Texas is founded upon two scripture passages, Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 3:20. In the NIV the Jeremiah passage reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” The Message paraphrases Ephesians 3:20 in a very personal manner, “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”
