 | BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Nita Vaughn
Description of Ministry: Members of the team are committed to providing a meal to families at their time of loss. When the occasion arises where there is either no Bible study class or the need is greater than one class can handle this team steps in to help.
Why Does This Ministry Exist? This ministry exists to make certain that every family is cared for at their time of need.

 | CHILDHOOD MINISTRY TEAM
Description: Preschooler and their parents find a safe, fun and clean environment where they can play and learn. Classes for preschool from birth to kindergarten are provided weekly during worship and Bible study hours. Ministry opportunities are also available Sunday and Wednesday nights.
Purpose: To build a strong foundation in Jesus Christ through interactive Bible storytelling, games, crafts, music and lots of love.

 | FIRST IMPRESSIONS MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Eddie Hewitt
Description: Enthusiastic and knowledgeable men and women meet guests at the Welcome Center, request family inforamtion and then assist them in locating the appropriate Bible Study group. We also oversee the assembly and delivery of vistor packets to first-time visitors.
Purpose: A smiling face, a warm handshake and a friendly greeting make people feel welcome and at ease in a new environment. We want visitors to know that we are really glad they are here.

GREETERS AND USHERS MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Freddie Pundt
Description: This team is responsible for greeting people with smiles and warm handshakes, escorting guests to a pew, take care of tithes & offerings at the appropriate time.
Purpose: To make people fee welcome. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a door keeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalms 84:10

 | LIBRARY MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Pat Tomlinson
Description: The library of First Baptist Church is full of resources from books to videos that are available for children, teenagers and adults.

A perfect joining of technical skills and a servant's heart.
The Worship Media Ministry provides, creates, facilitates, manages and supports all technical aspects of worship.

Provide - review, recommend and purchase equipment as needed.

Create - create necessary media for worship (audio recordings, video/DVD recordings, PowerPoint/MediaShout, slideshows, etc.)

Facilitate - do whatever it takes to make everything run smoothly (whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it!)

Manage - take care of the equipment, make repairs as needed or replace.

Support - train and provide personnel to support the worship ministry and other ministries of the church.

Members of this team help with media mail outs to church members and visitors. For more information contact Theresa Baucom.

ORDINANCES MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Sherry Roberts
Description: Baptism and The Lord's Supper are the two church ordinances believers observe in obedience and remembrance of what Jesus Christ has done for us. We prepare the bread, the juice and the table for the Lord's Supper. We also have the privilege of assisting the pastoral staff with baptism by providing towels and robes for the pastor and those being baptized and by cleaning up following baptism.
Purpose: Preparation of the Lords' Supper is an important and special task which is needed for each time our church observes it. The baptism of a new believer is a time when our church celebrates new life in Christ.

 | PRAYER MINISTRY TEAM
Leader: Jane Hewitt
Description: Members of this team will pray during the worship hour, occasionally pray directly with folks in need of intercession at specified times during the worship service, and will be the servants that stand in the gap for many.
Purpose: To continually hold up before our Lord the; ministries of FBC Granbury, the pastoral staff, and each other in prayer, petition, and intercession for daily provision and equipping of the saints.

SEASONAL DECORATIONS MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Sharon Wiley
Description: Members of this team work to create an environment which reflects God's beauty and creativity.
Purpose: To decorate the church to reflect the beauty of the seasons.

SPECIAL EVENTS MINISTRY TEAM
Description: The major focus of this team is to organize, prepare and serve food for all special events for the church. This is accomplished by smaller sub-groups that are responsible for each individual part. Then, groups work together to accomplish the task.
Purpose: To identify individuals in the church that have the desire to be of services to God through church activities.

This ministry supports many different ministries throughout Hood County.
This ministry support a Sunday morning ministry to residents in several of our local care failities. To get involved, contact Willie Crossland.
CARE FACILITIES MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Willie Crossland
Description: Caring hearts, encouraging voices, warm smiles, singing and sharing of God's word are some of the aspects of our ministry in the care facilities. Many men and women are involved each Sunday morning in ministry to residents in several of our local care facilities.
Purpose: We believe the residents of our local care facilities, FBC members or not, should be provided a worship experience, complete with singing and Bible devotions. It gives opportunity for them to worship in their setting. The personal contact and touch with our people is well received, too.

Members of this team will drive the church van for the Neighborhood Ministries. To get involved, contact Keith Coleman.
This ministry support many homes of persons who, for whatever reason, are not able to participate in our on-site ministries. It keeps them connected. Get involved by contacting Wanda Crossland or Mildred Headlee.
NEIGHBORHOOD MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Dusty Clark
Description: Ministering to 100+ children (kindergarten through 7th grade) at Whippoorwill Bay, Oak Trail Shores, Sky Harbor and Lake Granbury Harbor/Arrowhead Shores, on a weekly basis.
Purpose: Providing a Christian environment for children each week, consisting of songs, Bible Studies, arts and crafts and snacks. Our goal is to encourage each child and their family to participate in weekly church worship.

PEOPLE TO PEOPLE MINISTRY TEAM Leader: Diane Garrett
Description: Members of this team will assist our members and residents of the community with gas & food vouchers. We provide this ministry to those in need Tuesday through Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Purpose: To provide emergency aid to our members and the community. We work with the Emergency Assistance Network which includes Mission Granbury, People Helping People and many other community organizations.

An outreach arm of the church. W.M.U. (Laura Lea Stewart and Janice Welmaker) studies about missionaries and pray for them by name. They do mission actions by serving to meet needs of the community as well as promoting State, National and International mission goals.

Women On Mission Ministry Team

Purpose Of This Ministry:
Pray for and give to missions. Do mission work. Learn about missions. Develop spiritually toward a mission lifestyle. Participate
in the work of the church and the denomination.
Laura Lee Stewart & Janice Welmaker groups meet monthly.
Some Of The Mission Projects:
Contribute to the Annuitant Program (support retired pastors and widows living below poverty level). Feed workers of Habitat for Humanity. Remembering our Law Enforcement Officers with cards, prayers and cookies. Support to missionaries. Annual party for Southern Concepts residents. Collect stuffed animals for Children's hospital. Collect and donate clothes, diapers and toiletries for the Brazos Pregnancy Center and many more projects.
