Two of the most confusing words in the English language would be inclusive and exclusive. When a journalist once asked poet Carl Sandburg what the ugliest word in the English language was, Sandburg was reported as saying "exclusive".
Dr. Webster, in his dictionary, defines exclusive as "to shut out or to reject." Jesus never intended for His church to be exclusive for any reason. Jesus teaches His followers to be inclusive of others, regardless of any societal pressures.
Webster defines inclusive as "embracing or enclosing around." As a community of believers, we are commanded by Christ to love Him and to love others.
(Matthew 22:37-39)
Each one of us can draw strength from the knowledge that when we give ourselves totally to Christ, we become EXCLUSIVELY His.
(Romans 8:38-39 & 1 Corinthians 7:23)
The primary focus for First Baptist Church Student Ministry is to glorify and lift high Jesus Christ in all events and activities. Our focus is to be inclusive of others as a Student Ministry and to guide students to become exclusively His through faith.
In Him,
