I start drinking coffee by dumping it out and filling the cup with Chai Tea

 

UNUSUAL FACT ABOUT ME:

I almost cut my toes off once playing with a machete.
 

I joined the FBC staff in July 2021.

 

I was raised in Indiana and began ministry as a volunteer for many years. After feeling the call toward full-time ministry, I took a part time position in 2009 at my home church in Columbus called The Ridge.  Part-time transitioned to full-time in 2014.  

 

Melani and I were married in 2001 and now have four children: Bryce, Grant, Collin, and Ryleigh. Melani grew up in the panhandle of Texas and moved to Indiana after marrying James. 

 

I was not raised in a Christian home but as a teenager, I began singing with a group of high school students who traveled around to many different churches singing specials and so on.  GOd used this group along with other people to helm me see his need for a Savoir. I accepted Christ into my heart at the age of 17 and was baptized on my 18th birthday.  I am passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus and seeing believers take their next steps in their walk with our Savior.
