I have been in ministry since 1994. I graduated in 1996, from the University of Houston, with a Bachelor of Arts’ in Speech Communications and minor in Psychology. I then continued my studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where in 2002, I earned his Master of Divinity.
My wife, Heather, and I are the proud parents of three children: Courtney, Kyle, and Connor. We have served as Pastor of Student Ministries at Faith Community Church in Houston, Fannin Terrace Baptist Church in Midland, Southside Baptist Church in Palestine, First Baptist Church of The Woodlands in The Woodlands. I have also served as Senior Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Tyler.
In my free time, you’ll find me coaching one of my kids’ sports teams, playing sports, watching sports, or hanging out with my family. I grew up in a Christian home. My father was a charter member and deacon at Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. At the age of 10 I came to know Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized by Dr. Milton Cunningham. During my senior year in high school God began to reveal to me a taste for seeing people come to know Him. It was during a revival at Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Land, Texas that God called me to vocational ministry. The invitation was given and I watched as several people whom I had personally invested in gave their lives to Christ. It was then that I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit telling me there was no greater calling in life than to see people come to know Him. It is out of this passionate conviction, that only Christ can change lives, I live out the calling God has placed upon my life.
